The Philippines is a republic country, having once been a colony of Spain and then America, it was briefly ruled by Japan in world war 2, Manila beame the second most bombed city of world war 2.

The philippines is predominantly catholic, though other Faith's are practised including budhism, muslim and hinduism among the others.

The Islands are thought to be one of the most diverse ecologies in the World.

It's motto is: Maka-Diyas Maka-tao ( For god, people, Nature and Country).

Chicken Adobo In Coconut Milk (adobong Manok Sa Gata)

Serves 4 -6

Ingrediants:

One 3 lb Chicken cut in to serving portions,1and a 1/2 cups of Apple Cider vinegar,6 Tablespoons of Finely minced Garlic,1/2 a cup of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper, 2 Bay leaves,

1 Table spoon of peppercorns, 1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar, 1- 12 ounce can of coconut milk, Salt to taste.

Cooking: Combine all the in a Saucepan and marinate for 2 hours, Boil the Mixture until the chicken is tender. Seperate the sauce from the chicken and broil the chicken until brown. Reduce the sauce over a moderate heat to about half and pour over the chicken.
